This will be the first time I’ve shared Wedding flower ideas yet they can add an unrivalled dimension to your Wedding design. (Slaps wrist). Firstly I must thank the outstanding team at That Flower Shop for all the pretty images you’ll be seeing today. I have had the pleasure of working with Hattie and her team and thanks to them have a whole new understanding of Wedding flowers. So to some Wedding flower ideas to inspire and wow you…
HOW LOW CAN YOU GO?
When it comes to your floral centrepieces do think about your guests and if they’d like to converse with each other. An enormous flower display will obstruct their view of the guests opposite, a clever plan if you think they won’t get on! Low designs like the below or a tall thin vase to allow the flowers to sit high are the most sensible options.
And pillar candles are a romantic addition to your floral centrepieces.
COLOUR ME PRETTY
Use your Wedding flowers to bring an eclectic burst of colour to your day or to highlight a particular colour scheme, like these orange boutonnieres.
A beautiful bloom in a glass jar or bottle (start stashing those milk bottles and sauce jars now girls!) will be an easy DIY choice. Simple yet so effective.
Rope in your bridesmaids and family to help with this DIY task though, as it will take longer than you think. Remember you’ll need to prune and trim each stem, quite a feat in itself.
When it comes to Wedding flower ideas I’m a big fan of the au natural, slightly wild looks. Be warned, just like au natural make-up these creations are more work than you think and require an expert florist’s skills and vision.
THINK OUTSIDE THE BOUQUET BOX
Flowers are a very versatile product, much more than just bouquets and boutonnieres. Flowers can be used to form the core of your decor theme, use them to style up your ceremony and venue. Churches can be a tricky one to style up, their architecture is beautiful so you don’t want to over do it. However on the other hand you want the ceremony to feel extra special for your Wedding day, flowers are perfect for that. This floral arch will be a real talking point upon your guests arrival.
A growing trend for brides looking for a whimsical, bohemian style – the flower crown. I adore this daisy crown created by That Flower Shop, I wonder if I could make a daisy chain this fierce?
Grand floor standing flower displays will add impact to your reception venue, particularly if already has a lot of character.
