This week’s Bridal worthy crush is a story of prairie-tale chic from Valentino Fall 2012. Chief designers Pierpaolo Piccioli and Maria Grazia Chiuri described the Valentino Fall 2012 collection as “folk, but in a modern, faceted way.” The crochet applique pattern and tightly cuffed sleeves definitely tell a folk story and would suit a Bijou Bride on the hunt for a laidback, hippy Wedding style.
WEAR IT WITH
Milkmaid plaits would work beautifully with this Valentino crochet number. Channel Sienna Miller’s 2007 Golden Globes style with a chunky halo plait pulling out front pieces for a ‘just rolled down the hill’ vibe and add some pretty with a scattering of diamante flower pins. To complete the prairie look you also need Sienna Miller’s au naturel make-up and sun kissed skin, I’m a fan of the Soap & Glory ‘Solar Power’ bronzer. And for your tootsies, blush pink satin espadrilles.
With its whistle while you work intro ‘Home’ by Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros is the perfect soundtrack to this look and a rustic outdoor Wedding. Even the video is a style reference for those planning a romantic prairie Wedding – “home is wherever I’m with you”
