It goes without saying that I had to share all the best bridal worthy looks with you Bijou girls from Paris Couture Fall 2013 collections.
Valentino continued with their penchant for renaissance influence with a collection of structured, floral silk brocade, full length gowns.
My favourite designer collection had to be Giambattista Valli – girly bow details and delicate fabrics set against bold cuts and exaggerated peplums. This is love.
And those dipped hem wedding dresses look like they’ll be sticking around.
Zuhair Murad’s Couture Fall 2013 “Enchanted Forest’ collection was exactly that, enchanting. Twig and leaf shape lace patterns teamed with layer upon layer of silk tulle.
Longstanding bridal dream designe,r Elie Saab presented another stunning collection, this time focusing on crystal encrusted gowns. Don’t you think the model in this final piece looks like she’s just appeared from a magical cloud, like Gwenda the Good Witch in the Wizard of Oz?
Also putting on the glitz was Giorgio Armani with a slightly 20’s influenced collection of pretty nude gowns and separates.
Guaranteed to present something more outlandish, Mr Jean Paul Gaultier. Loving this tipped up little hat.
At Chanel it was slightly more understated with an emphasis on the hip area, perhaps following the popularity of Great Gatsby and all things 20’s . Lagerfeld titled the show “The Old World and the New World”, what do we think to tulle bustles?
And of course I have to close with a crazy couture piece to wow you. Iris Van Herpen has been experimenting with 3-D printing and laser cutting to create these breath taking pieces.
