It’s a staple of the Bijou blog calendar to wonder at the dreamiest gowns from the Haute Couture shows.  Here are my top picks and future bridal trend predictions from the 2016 Spring Couture designer runways.

Zuhair Murad is now a major source for bridal fashion inspiration since designing Sofia Vergara’s stunning wedding gown. Lampshade skirts will be big news!

Valentino took Grecian styles to new super romantic heights.  The gowns below each involved over 1800 hours of intricate work, it ain’t called Haute Couture (high fashion) for nothing.

Greek goddesses have long been a source of inspiration for bridal designers and I wonder if delicate body harnesses and gold jewellery will be popping up on the bridal runways in the new future.

Guo Pei made an big impression with her Paris debut.  A new label to get to know thanks to that amazing canary yellow gown worn by Rihanna to the Met Gala last year.  With a background in costume dressing, the stunning imperial Chinese jackets were my favourite of the many dreamy looks on show.

Diaphanous ruffles were the wow at Giambattista Valli, just so pretty.

Long beaded tassels covered model shoulders at Elie Saab, ensuring the fashion of fringed details will stick around in the bridal World for at least the next year.
