Let's discuss your wedding plans...

In keeping with my Wedding theme catchphrase that ‘inspiration starts anywhere‘, following Barack Obama’s resounding Presidential victory I couldn’t help but come over all stars and stripes today.  Bijou brides you know I don’t follow a typical Wedding colour code but I happen to think mixing stars and stripes in patriotic blue and red works rather well.  But what do you think?

stars and stripes

Striped bridesmaid’s dresses are my new favourite thing.  Remember vertical stripes will draw the eye up and down the body and are therefore more flattering.  These mini tipi tents would make the perfect play den for your younger guests whilst looking rather stylish at your reception.  You may have read this before but shoe clips add a personal touch to your Wedding shoes.  These star clips will be sure to add some pizazz to your chosen Wedding outfit.  And finally don’t forget the details – stars and stripes could pop up on your dessert buffet, drinks reception or Groom’s attire.

And seeing as I am feeling all GObama who wouldn’t want a husband like him.  Marriage is a partnership, friendship and love that grows deeper over time, something President Obama acknowledged in his acceptance speech heard by millions around the World.  What a guy.

And I wouldn’t be the man I am today without the woman who agreed to marry me 20 years ago. Let me say this publicly: Michelle, I have never loved you more. I have never been prouder to watch the rest of America fall in love with you, too, as our nation’s first lady.
