Today’s Threads is for “the young, modern bride with a sense of fashion and her own style”, let’s take a rummage in the So Sassi 2014 collection.
There are some cute details in this youthful line for example the all-over rosettes above and the below Molly gown is the first time I’ve seen a peter pan collar on a wedding dress.
Only the second So Sassi collection – the esprit label from double award winning designer Sassi Holford, Sassi explains that “After the label’s first year we now know its market, its bride and its style direction. So the success of the second collection has become very important because our expectations are higher.” I don’t think she needs to worry, it’s going to be a sure-fire hit .
The So Sassi 2014 collection gowns are the creations of a young design team who incorporate popular fashion trends such as the dipped hem, shoulder padded body con and peplum style notes.
All the dresses are designed and handmade in Sassi’s workrooms in Somerset, England where quality of finish is key.
I love an interesting wedding dress back and this knotted detail on the Gracie is quite unusual.
And I’m still digging the peplum trend especially when it combines two differing fabrics, as in the Maisie wedding dress below.
