THURSDAY THREADS – SALLY LACOCK
Bijou girls let me introduce you to the charming Sally Lacock and her collection of romantic, Vintage inspired Wedding dresses.
Launched at the beginning of 2011 Sally Lacock is bringing vintage design and thoroughly modern sensibility to the Wedding industry. Before taking the plunge into full time Bridal design Sally had worked for numerous prestigious fashion brands including Liberty, Betty Jackson and Jigsaw.
In her own words Sally explains ‘I adore making beautiful dresses, and creating something perfect for a woman to wear on her wedding day is, of course, the ultimate honour. As well as the dresses looking stunning and fitting beautifully, I feel passionately that every step of the process should be a pleasure. I want my brides to look their absolute best while feeling completely natural and at ease, so that they can really shine.“
Sally’s intricate designs channel a variety of vintage-inspired styles mixing gently draped chi?on, embroidered tulle, hand sewn silk flowers, vintage glass buttons and soft dreamy lace in antique tones of ivory, mink, silver and gold. Sally’s passion for using only the finest of materials was ignited by a collection of intricate handmade lace inherited from her Great Aunt.
It is such a dreamy collection of Wedding dresses and I admire the way Sally has combined more avant garde Edwardian styles with ethereal fabrics to create such romantic, unique looks for Brides.
