Part One I hear you cry, what’s this about?!? In the history of my little blog I have never done this so you girls just know it’s special. When Bijou reader Brooke contacted me with details of her rustic Australian Wedding I literally could not take my eyes off all her beautiful images, there are just so many awesome details to share that it warrants the two part split… trust me.
Bride Brooke described her day as “A rustic, home spun wedding in the hills” and there is so much thought and effort in every element of this Wedding. Brooke continues “Mostly everything was created by myself and Alex. Alex my awesome husband spent many hours with me in front of the sewing machine to make bunting flags and CD favours. He also made the Alex Loves Brooke sign and the L O V E sign used on the sweet table. We used recycled brown card to make all the menus, church programs, CD favours.” What a talented pair. If you are planning to turn your hand to some DIY for your Wedding day be sure to leave a heap of time, a little task every day will stop the volume of projects becoming overwhelming.
So consider this a sneak peek of the delicious details from Brooke and Alex’s big day for your delectation.
How cute are Brooke and Alex’s Order of Service cards which rather handily double as a fan to fight the Australian heat.
The Bride’s rings sat on top of Craspedia, also used for the button holes.
Whilst the ladies prepped and pampered themselves before the Wedding, the boys hit the beach.
Some hints below about the Groom’s Wedding Day style…
And the Bride’s, note the personalised hanger – see I told you there were heaps of details!
Those lovebird details appear again on the top of Brooke and Alex’s Wedding cake, I am really loving the current trend for haphazard style icing – delicious.
And this is just a taster of what’s to come from this rustic Australian Wedding, get ready for a swoonfest next week gals!
And don’t forget I love hearing about YOUR Weddings so do share.
