One of my brides asked me if they could have a boho yet glamourous wedding day. My answer, hell yeah and it all starts with the dress. Have you discovered Rue De Seine bridal?
This new bridal label is the baby of designer Michele Corty whose taking a bold step out on her own after working under big fashion labels in New York and Paris. Her passion for wedding romance is evident in the label’s name Rue De Seine bridal so called after Michele celebrated her own wedding there (for those not in the know it is the Parisian Quartier of St. Germain des Pres). The notorious neighbourhood, famed as the meeting place of Paris’ creative artists past and present, is the essence of bohemian chic style and the leading inspiration for Michele’s designs.
The debut Young Love bridal collection is major boho chic but edgier to suit the modern bride. It is perhaps most evident with these pretty lace over a nude slip designs. The faux reveal is edgy and fashion forward whilst still romantic.
Full on fluffy French lace is also in abundance throughout the collection. Below are a couple of my favourites the Sienna, loving the vintage inspired tiers, and the Libby wedding dress.
If you are looking for a contemporary bohemian wedding dress then reversing the nude look is a way to go. Heavy white bead and sequin panelling over nude mesh is a style I’ve not seen elsewhere but have totally fallen for.
