This week’s Wedding worthy inspiration comes courtesy of those clever couture cats Paul and Joe. A departure from the usual all white dresses I typically share with you Bijou brides but black and white is dominating Spring 2013 so you need to know. This low cut, slash front, billowing black and white gown really caught my eye on the Paul and Joe Spring 2013 runway. Lustworthy and perfect for brides looking for something with contemporary edge and a dash of romance.
WEAR IT WITH
Run with the black and white alternative theme and wear this bridal boudoir worthy lace lingerie. The ensemble by Gilda and Pearl also happens to have the most fabulous title ‘How to Marry a Millionaire’. Back to the bride though with an all white bouquet, the first of the Vera Wang and Interflora collaboration. Hair and make up should follow fashionista Olivia Pallermo’s lead with a loosely pinned up do and soft smokey eye. And carry the theme through to your going away outfit by packing your essentials into a classic Globe-Trotter suitcase.
You can’t think about black and white colour combos without picturing Fred Astaire tapping around Ginger Rogers. One of my favourites and a great first Wedding dance choice would have to be ‘Cheek to Cheek’ by Irving Berlin. Grab your feather boa and spin.
