Today’s delightful Ontario barn wedding is full of classic rustic charm and a lot of love. Bride Deanna and Groom Jarod are quite a private pair and wanted their marriage to be a true family affair. You are in for a treat and we have one of my fave photographer’s Andreas Avdoulos to thank.
Deanna and Jarod met at University and have been inseparable ever since. After 10 years together they wanted to tie the knot in the great outdoors surrounded by friends and family. As guests arrived at South Pond Farms in the Bethany Hills of Ontario they were led through fields to a pretty meadow spot for the romantic ceremony.
I love the simplicity of the ceremony setting, wood benches, a curved twig aisle backdrop and pots of cow parsley, which all compliment rather than overpower the rustic setting.
In keeping with the fuss free, rustic nature of this Ontario barn wedding, Deanna wore her fitted lace wedding dress with just a simple diamanté headband and small Astilbe bouquet.
BRIDESMAIDS & BEST MEN
Deanna gave the girls a mint colour reference and don’t they all look super pretty.
Whilst it was grey for the boys.
After jam jar cocktails in the fields, guests were invited back to the main barn for dinner and dancing.
I bet the guys loved this Whiskey bar set up featuring all their choice tipples.
The highlight of the reception, was when Jarod’s mother sang him a song, not many weddings have that!
Deanna personalised every corner of the barn with cute details. The love story blackboard is one of my favourites.
WORDS OF WISDOM
Deanna reminds you brides to be that it’s a day for love and teamwork no matter what. “There wasn’t any unexpected moments, we both knew it was going to be a perfect day, no matter how it played out. Our wedding day was truly the most incredible memory we could have every created together.”
Finally hot off the press for European based Bijou readers – Andreas Avdoulos’ dreamy reportage style of photography will no longer just be available for Canadian couples he welcomes European weddings throughout 2015.
