It was a decidedly lacey affair on the runway at the Marchesa Spring 2014 bridal show and here is my Bijou edit of all the dreamy dresses below.
I don’t know why the models are so stony faced, if I got the chance to slip into a Marchesa wedding dress I’d be smiling like the Cheshire cat.
The standout gown for me was this super girly, scalloped lace with chiffon sash number. Prettiness personified.
Scalloped edging featured throughout the collection and it does add a contemporary feel particularly when used around the neckline.
Peplums seem to be sticking around for 2014 turning more soft and delicate in comparison to this year’s bold and angular pieces.
There were also a number of cocktail style wedding dresses for brides that want to show a little leg. My favourite was this off the shoulder gown with pencil skirt.
