Let me introduce you to handmade bridal accessories brand Evie Oliver, our newest NKOTWB (new kid on the wedding block). These one-of-a-kind bridal and occasion pieces are all handmade by designer Victoria Morris, who I actually went to High School with many moons ago. Having studied at the London College of Fashion before racking up years of experience designing for both high street and designer brands, it was time to start her own brand Evie Oliver. Starting a bridal and occasion business just naturally evolved from being asked to create numerous bespoke pieces for friends and family as well as something for her own wedding day.
All Evie Oliver designs are one-of-a-kind and are handmade using a mix of Swarovski crystals, beads, semi-precious stones and beautiful components sourced from around the world – some even incorporate genuine vintage elements such as brooches.
All pieces in the collection strive to mix both vintage and contemporary fashion trends. Personally I’m a big fan of these wraparound bridal styles at the moment, they give you more scope to play around with how you wear it.
You can also work with Victoria on a completely bespoke design perhaps incorporating your own heirlooms or vintage pieces to make it extra special.
I always like to know where a business name came from (if it’s not the owner’s actual name) for Evie Oliver designer Victoria explains “I design and make my pieces at home under the watchful eye of my two beautiful kitties, Evie and Oliver. As a self-confessed crazy cat lady it seemed only fitting to name my company after them.” Very cute.
