You know I’m always searching for fresh and exciting fashion to inspire you Bijou brides and my latest find is new bridal label, Elizabeth Stuart Bride – get to know. Elizabeth started her Bridal Fashion career after her own hunt for the perfect dress, in her own words Elizabeth “wanted a dress that was fashion forward, completely unique, luxurious, and sophisticated all rolled into one.” I am sure that strikes a chord with many of you Bijou brides. I had a sneak peek at Elizabeth’s first collection which mixes structured modernity with romantic ruffles, my Bijou favourites are below.
In my bridal trends 2012 report I told you trains and layers were going to be the new focus point in bridal wear. Elizabeth Stuart Bride has come up with the perfect solution – the Peplum Wrap.
I just love the idea of a 2 in 1 dress (remember Nicole Richie’s wedding dress) and the wrap idea is simply genius, taking a bride from formal romance to party ready in a few seconds. I’ve created a little Bijou, contemporary romance style board to inspire your fashion forward wedding day look using this stunning Elizabeth Stuart Bride Gillyflower gown.
The Elizabeth Stuart Bride mission statement is “Where future meets fairytale…and Falls in Love” and I think they’ve achieved just that.
This weekend I’m undertaking a very special mission – tackling the High Street for a bride getting married in just 4 weeks. It will be a great test as to what’s really available and how it compares to the bridal showroom experience. Let me know if you’ve taking on the High Street and found something amazing or you’d like me to investigate any stores in particular. I’ll report back next week Bijou brides – over and out.
