Let’s all run away and have Julie Michaelsen capture our exploits.  Trust me, once you see today’s dreamy South of France wedding you’ll know where I’m coming from.  With a ceremony held in the Grooms’ parents garden and a reception held at Paloma Beach, Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat (where the Groom proposed) you’ll have the holiday feels.

“We really wanted our wedding to have a chic alfresco feel to it, relaxed but with lots of beautiful flowers!”

Beautiful bride Olivia explains “We wanted to keep it simple and sophisticated so opted for a neutral palette and a classic theme.  We didn’t want a key look or colour to overpower the day. We did a lot of research, on Pinterest mainly and built up mood boards and colour ideas from there. This was a great tool to work from when liaising with the florist, dress designer etc.”

“Because of the hot weather in Nice, we decided to make our orders of service into little fans for our guests.”

In keeping with the classic styling of the day Olivia wore a heavy white lace, fishtail wedding dress from White Rose Bridal.  I love that cute bow belt detail.  “Finding my dress was easier than I thought, I had an idea of the style I wanted but kept my options open trying a variety of silhouettes and designs, which I would recommend every bride to do.”

“Hannah, my sister was my only bridesmaid and to begin with we really struggled to find her a dress that she liked, we had looked in the all usual places but wanted something a little bit different. As she was the only bridesmaid we also decided to opt for ivory, we thought any other colour may have looked a little random. We arranged an appointment with Emma Beaumont a dress maker based in, Knutsford Cheshire and she designed and made Hannah’s dress.  Emma was fantastic and a pleasure to work with.  She is hugely talented and created a beautiful silhouette that Hannah was thrilled with.”

And for cute flower girl, Esme, her outfit came from J Crew.  How adorable is this for an idea too “I wanted to make her feel very special so we arranged a tea party so she could try the dress on and pick her favourite shoes.”

Sam and Olivia completed their South of France wedding dream by arriving to the reception on speedboat. Such Riviera chic.

It would have been wrong not to have an al fresco wedding breakfast on the beach.  “I wanted to keep things simple as the view from the beach is really stunning and decoration enough!”

“They all sound like such clichés but try not to worry and stress about the little things. The guests won’t know somethings not right only you will. Take your time on the day, don’t let anyone rush you. And most of all, enjoy it!!”
