COLOUR CODE – RUSTIC BEACH WEDDING
Whilst you’re reading this I will sunning myself on the sandy shores of Mauritius and couldn’t resist sharing some rustic beach wedding inspiration.
Are you planning on saying ‘I Do’ with sand under your feet? An amazing backdrop doesn’t require a lot of decoration. I love these jute drapes over a wooden arch to form the ceremony focal point. Natural, un-treated fabrics such as jute, cotton canvas or muslin can also be used for invitations, wrapping vases to house fresh cut flowers, as well as table mats and runners. Good news is that these types of fabrics are relatively cheap to purchase and look even better with frayed edges so you don’t need to be super neat.
To get the rustic feel, use pieces of wood (drift wood preferable) for DIY wedding signage and place settings. Lanterns and shells also make excellent props.
Paper parasols are a great tip for shielding your guests from the blazing sun rays and also look great later on as decorations, propped up against tables, hung from trees or arbours.
