THURSDAY THREADS – COCOE VOCI SPRING 2013
My latest Bridal discovery… the L.A. based design house Cocoe Voci. Cocoe started out with a sewing machine and a childhood dream of creating beautiful dresses. Launching her debut Bridal collection in 2000, Cocoe Voci Wedding dresses can now to be found in some of the most prestigious Bridal boutiques such as Neiman Marcus and Kleinfeld. Just cast your eyes over the Spring 2013 collection and you’ll see why…
This is my Bijou favourite from the collection, there is a touch of Chanel with the scattered 3D flower appliques on the skirt. It is one of those dresses that would look so amazing on and requires very few accessories.
Cocoe’s aim has always been to accentuate a bride’s personal style and I can certainly see these dresses making a statement about the wearer. The mix of gathered tulle and pleated skirt on the below Lily Wedding gown is such a fresh and unique look.
Ginger is an adaptable ceremony to celebration Wedding dress design, you know I love a 2 in 1 look! The long train on the removable skirt is something I haven’t seen before and it totally works.
The Spring 2013 isn’t all slinky creations, there are some big skirts in the mix too. A couple of my favourites below, I particularly love the grecian style gathering on the bodices.
The asymmetric shoulder detail is one style that isn’t going away. The Dahlia dress adds a asymmetric skirt detail too, which is contemporary and very chic.
