A Classic English Wedding, touches of Vintage, lots of pearls and plenty of inspiration for Bijou brides on today’s real bride post.  Thanks to the wonderful Samantha J Photography and of course real bride Hollie for sharing these wonderful images.

Photographer Samantha felt even more pressure to capture the perfect shots on Hollie’s big day, “Hollie was actually the reason I became a wedding Photographer.  She knew my Mum and at the time I was really only doing family lifestyle shoots, she’d seen some of my work on Facebook and asked me to do her wedding, I agreed and then had a nervous breakdown!… As it turned out I gained several other bookings before I photographed Hollie’s wedding so she never was the first one but I truly believe it was her faith in me that gave me the confidence to go down this path.”  And Samantha definitely has the eye for a great photograph, just take a look at the below.

Hollie, a bride in search of a classic and elegant dress choose the MiaMia April wedding dress for her big day, which she found at the Jessica David Bridal Boutique in Stourbridge.  The Mermaid shape with empire line pearl and crystal beading created beautiful curves on Hollie’s slimline shape.  Hollie’s desire for a classic bridal look led her to team her wedding dress with a full length veil and vintage inspired headband, both of which featured pearl and diamanté detail to compliment the embellishment of the wedding dress.  If you don’t know where to start book a stylist, they aren’t just the reserve of the rich and famous.

In keeping with the Vintage theme Hollie along with Your Perfect Setting designed a pastel posy bouquet of roses, peonies and hydrangea. I have to say this is one of my favourite bouquets ever, I love the subtle mix of shades and textures.  Hollie’s vintage style silver, embellished strappy sandals and chunky diamanté bracelet brought the finishing touches to her bridal look.

Hollie mastered the Au Natural look with her loosely curled hair and apricot blush – but with that skin who needs make up!  This is a key lesson for you Bijou brides out there, stay true to yourself, don’t feel obliged to load up on bright lipstick or heavy eyeliner if it does not feel like you.

Hollie choose a pale lilac Jasmine Bridal dress for her bridesmaid. In keeping with the laidback styling and pearl obsession the dress was paired with simple drop pearl earrings.

Over to bride Hollie “enjoy every second of the preparations and the day. Getting married was an amazing experience & I wish I could do it all again!”
