Today I’m thrilled to be sharing this beautiful Chelsea wedding captured by the amazing Amy B Photography. I had the pleasure of meeting the gorgeous bride and groom, Morgan and Adam at the London Wedding Emporium back at the start of the year and their wedding turned out just as they’d dreamt it.
The day started with an intimate ceremony at Chelsea Old Town Hall. This element of the wedding holds a special place in our bride’s heart – “When my husband looked at me with so much love in his eyes in the ceremony… It made me blush with happiness!”
After the confetti fun, the wedding party took a stroll around the backstreets of London to the Chelsea Physic Garden. Morgan and Adam wanted the guests to enjoy exploring around this little hidden gem that played host to their drinks reception.
When you’re on a tight budget, research the free public spaces in your area that will be entertaining to your guests and also provide a beautiful backdrop for your photos.
“I also really enjoyed our time at the Chelsea Physics Garden. The photographer, myself, my husband, the best man, and the best woman went off for quite a while having our photos taken. Granted we were very happy, but that was so much fun!”
And the final destination for this wedding party was The Modern Pantry that played host to their wedding breakfast. “It was important for me to choose a dinner reception venue that was very stylish with amazing food, so The Modern Pantry was the only choice.”
The colour scheme for the day evolved from Morgan’s beautiful wedding dress, shades of blue were dotted throughout from the wedding cake to the mixtape CD favours.
Let’s talk about that beautiful dress, Morgan explains “When Adam proposed to me (a couple of years ago…) we were living in New Zealand. I discovered the most beautiful wedding dress designer A La Robe. When we had returned to live in the UK again, I started the daunting task of looking for a wedding dress with only a £600 budget! Needless to say, It was a difficult task… I ended up contacting Elizabeth at A La Robe, and she seemed to think it would be no problem to design a dress for me over email and Skype! And that’s how it happened… with a few samples being sent back and forth & many, many emails.” I love a happy fashion ending.
And to accessorise Morgan’s stunning bespoke dress – simply a pastel bouquet, wraparound plait and large navy flower hair clip.
