Injecting some luxe into the blog today is this beautiful Chanel inspired wedding shoot, full of decadent ideas and style notes for chic brides to be.  This styled shoot was masterminded by Nicola of Eve Lily  Weddings & Events who shares her inspiration and top tips below.

“Chanel was my inspiration and I am so in love with the colours right now, you can use alternatives when creating this look but I just loved the pink, black and gold combination, it really brings warmness to the overall look and finish.  It really works for an autumn or winter alternative to the typical wedding options that come to mind at this time of year.  I had such a wonderful team involved in bringing it to life rather than just the ideas in my head, I have always loved rich colours and styles, when it comes to weddings and so it felt right to go for some real class and style with this shoot.”

“When it comes to table styling, especially for this look, less certainly is NOT more.  I used mixed colours, mixed textures and bold floral designs to really give this table a wow, with pretty napkin detailing and the gold candles it just shows you how gorgeous wedding tables can be with the right planning and design.”

“When looking to achieve this type of look, it’s a must to use a striking colour such as black or navy along with a softer colour to complement, the gold just livens it all and adds that touch of luxury to the overall finish. Silk fabrics, luxurious textures and candle light just worked so well together.  When I approached Elle is for Love about the stationery, she knew exactly what I wanted all I had to say was a few key words, Chanel, Black and Pink, Luxury, Paris.  The stationery fits in perfectly and shows how you can theme a wedding, it just works so well if the theme is through the whole wedding look in a subtle way.”

“This is an instant wedding look and works well in many colour combinations so it’s important not to be afraid of using a mix of colours.  And the cakes! Well they just show how pretty you can go with wedding cakes these days.”

“Hair and make-up needed to be classic but usable in today’s wedding style, with the right hair styles and flawless make up it just adds to our overall luxurious finish.  Beth of Bettie Lottie used a soft colour palette for the make up at the start of the shoot and ended on a more glamorous finish, showing that you can have a day and night look for your make up and both will look just as stunning.  Whilst our hair stylist Tina made sure that my vision for the hair came alive, the brief was up do glamour, I think you can see how perfectly this works with the opulent look of the photo shoot.”bettie lottie make up the progressive hair company
“The jewellery which was just truly stunning was an addition that we certainly needed as it’s all about the glamour here!”

“I knew as soon as I picked the style for the shoot that it needed to be at The City Rooms in Leicester just for the grandness of the venue alone.  The venue is totally stunning and has a ballroom that just oozes decadence.  As far as the dresses, I love the final dress against all the stunning colours on the wallpaper, the grand staircase, the beautiful gilded mirrors and the super pretty statement head piece and shoes, this dress was just perfect for such a stunning finish to the shoot and was provided by the lovely Courtyard Bridal Boutique.”

It was great to work as a team especially with such a talented and lovely group of wedding suppliers.  Stylised shoots especially this one gives a photographer lots of scope and opportunity to be as creative as they want, but also with the added direction of others. ” courtyard bridal boutique
“Thank you to all involved in bringing this pretty shoot to life, you were amazing!” I second that, great work all x
