As no doubt you will have seen fashion’s favourite pin up Kate Moss married her rock star boyfriend Jamie Hince on Friday and from the photos released the ceremony at least, seemed like a very civilised affair. However I am dying to see the numerous outfits Kate rocked during the course of the weekend long celebrations but for now let’s focus on the choice of wedding day attire and how you can get the look.
BRIDE & GROOM
Despite the controversy Kate Moss wore a bespoke John Galliano wedding dress surely inspired by his Spring 2011 collection for Dior. Featuring an array of sequins and rhinestone embellishment in peacock feather patterns, the dress evoked a glitzy 1920s/1930s feel. But Kate being Kate she had to include a notorious flash of skin and Galliano managed to create a transparent element in the skirt to show off Kate’s money making legs.
Jamie really worked his rockstar credentials in a double breasted YSL suit, pinstripe shirt, silk tie and his favourite cuban heeled suede boots.
In keeping with the English countryside setting the wedding flowers were a mixture of white and lilac roses teamed with lily of the valley, chrysanthemums and baby’s breath.
Kate wore a long Vintage style flower embroidered veil – very much like Lily Allen – expect this to be a big trend in 2012.
A fleet of Vintage Rolls Royce cars were ready and waiting to whisk the wedding party off to the reception.
It must have been one of the longest walks down the aisle with all these bridesmaids leading the procession! The 15 bridesmaids wore white lace tea dresses with ballet pumps and flower garlands.
