I am always thrilled to have a pretty bride and her wise words land in my inbox, today we are invited to share in Susie & Lee’s English Cathedral Wedding which was captured by the lovely Innocent Haze photography team.

There is always a temptation to panic about Wedding decorations but for Susie the high drama of the architecture in the Cathedral and reception venue was enough.  Any decorations such as the Origami Cranes were carefully selected “It was important for nothing to look too overdone, but just…  add that little intimacy to the grand structure.”

BRIDE

When picking her Wedding dress Susie came back to the drama of having a cathedral Wedding venue and wanted a look that reflected that in structure and detail.  Susie explains that “On getting engaged I bought 1 wedding magazine and ripped out my most favoured dress. This funnily enough ended being the dress I bought!”  And for the record it is a Blue by Enzoani dress.

When I first saw Susie’s Wedding pics I must say it was her choice of head wear that really caught my eye.  It is not often that a Bride combines a veil, elaborate head band and fresh flowers – LOVE IT!  Unbelievably Susie made the head piece with her own fair hands “This was important to put my own stamp on it all, and add to the eclectic feel I was going for.”
BRIDESMAIDS
Avid readers also know that I’m a big advocate of High Street finds and these adorable bridesmaid dresses were from Monsoon in one of their sales no less.  “It was important for the bridesmaids to be in ivory as I wanted the focus of colour to be in the flowers.”
GROOM
In keeping with the formal nature of events Lee opted for a three piece Grey suit but just like his Bride had to add some personal, quirky details.  Also as noted by the Bride floral elements were key so Lee sported an eclectic tie and pocket square.

WORDS OF WISDOM

“I do struggle to make decisions and could have done everything a thousand ways, however you have to just make a decision that feels right at the time for both of you and just run with it.”  Smart words sister!

Innocent Haze are duo Jess and Liz who approach Wedding photography as “‘creat(ing) a storyboard for our couples, a bit like reading a good book; you feel as if you were there, involved in the moment but observing from a far.”  Enjoy viewing the rest of their Innocent Haze portfolio at:
