Where it all starts and I’m pleased to report that there is more choice than you think.  Don’t be afraid of venturing out to the bridal boutiques, their expert staff and tailoring team will help you find your dream dress and ensure it fits your changing shape.  Taking inspiration from  our celebrity brides above, each has gone for a totally different style – Drew Barrymore opted for 60’s monochrome, Alicia Keys was a grecian goddess and Lily Allen looked stunning in vintage lace.  The wedding world is your oyster and just because you’ll be a pregnant bride doesn’t mean you have to compromise your personal style.  If you don’t want to risk it with a non-maternity dress option there are a number of specialists you can check out including Seraphine, Tiffany Rose, Madeline Isaac James and Bjorn & Me.

Like all brides, comfort and cover up is key under the wedding dress so nude and white options only for those over-bump briefs.  But when it comes to the wedding night, well that calls for something far more pretty, I love this Elle Macpherson maternity set.

One of the least desirable effects of pregnancy is water retention and thus swollen feet, so I would advise you leave the shoe shopping until the very last minute.  Flats or wedges will provide utmost comfort and support for your walk down the aisle and dance floor twirls.  These Charlotte Olympia numbers are whimsically exquisite and perfectly practical.

I imagine you’re abiding to a healthy eating pregnancy program but you should also be aware of what you put on your skin.  Experts advise that you should avoid Retinol and Salicylic Acid when pregnant so do check product contents with your make up artist before the big day.  If in doubt minerals only make up is the best option as the products contain only natural ingredients and sit on the top of the skin therefore not causing any irritation.
