Here in dull, rainy London I am having serious holiday envy with friends jetting off to sunnier shores in Thailand and Costa Rica. My treatment for this… finding beach Wedding inspiration and sharing my advice with you of course!
Bijou brides you will be hunting for light weight Wedding dresses (think layered chiffon) and shoes that allow you to strut in style, not wobble and sink in the sand. If like me you are on the petite side, wedges will be your feet’s best friend. For your man, although linen is a popular choice do remember that it creases super easily and look for shoes with air holes (yacht style) to allow his plates of meat to breath.
HAIR & MAKE UP
Key pieces for your big day kit bag will be blotting paper, weatherproof styling spray (John Freida have a good range for humid settings), not just waterproof but also sweat proof mascara (if in doubt have your eyelashes dyed) and without doubt a mini bottle of deodrant. Hairstyles fall into two camps either embrace the sea breeze with tousled long locks or keep it slick and frizz free in a stylish up do.
Cold drinks go without saying but opt for citrus flavours and frozen drinks for ultimate refreshment. Parasols and fans can be used as cute accessories too such as printing your order of service on hand fans or placing colourful parasols around your setting as practical decoration. And with a beautiful beach setting you won’t need to over style your venue.
In this style board I wanted to use shades of blue to echo the many tones of the sea throughout a typical day.
