This week’s totally Bridal worthy look was spied on the Australian Fashion Week catwalk, it is the De-Ville gown by Aurelio Costarella.
Furry shoulder details are a huge trend to watch out for this Winter after they graced the catwalks at Issa, Moschino Cheap & Chic and Roksanda Ilincic. Added to this Aurelio Costarella dress they give a vintage vibe alongside the fluid silk and empire line embellishment.
WEAR IT WITH
In keeping with the vintage style of the dress and the shoulder details, carry a feather fan instead of a traditional bouquet. How dreamy is this Ginger design by Britten Wedding Accessories, a fluffy delight of a fan. Sporting a Marion Cotillard style slicked back hairstyle as seen in WSJ magazine would let those amazing shoulders do the talking. And for the walking these Jimmy Choo sandals would add some glamour, as would this bejewelled headdress by Jenny Packham. Like the furry shoulders, a dark wine lip is set to be a huge trend this Winter and completes the overall darkly vintage styling.
I just adore Paolo Nutini’s ‘Pencil Full of Lead’ for its Chicago-esque trumpets, now to learn some Ginger Rogers dance moves! Listen to the lyrics too, I personally think it would make a great first dance track…. “Best of all, I’ve got my baby and nothings gonna bring me down”
