So finally our Vintage Wedding Affair took place last Saturday, 2nd July 2011.
Venturing into the wedding industry I have been shocked by the lacklustre fairs I’ve frequented with dull rows of trestle tables and one dimensional ‘fashion shows’ so along with my friend Beth of Be Vintage we decided to set up our own! With A Vintage Wedding Affair it was my goal to create a boutique fair to showcase a handpicked selection of fabulous wedding vendors and new talent, in a unique way. The fair took place in Hertfordshire’s biggest and best Vintage Shopping venue the Fleetville Vintage Emporium (Hatfield Rd, St Albans). Of course no wedding fair would be complete without a fashion show where I mixed original vintage clothing with contemporary pieces to inspire both bride and grooms.
Luckily we had the amazing Becky Rui on hand to capture the day for us and now we can share it with you!

Fashion Styling, particularly mixing vintage with contemporary clothing is a huge part of what I do and the Bijou fashion show was no different. Designed to inspire both brides and grooms Kate Edmondson Bridal Couture featured alongside a variety of vintage attire.
Hope to see you all next time!
