Where to begin with this year, 2017 it has been emotional. Insanely beautiful weddings, the most incredible clients (I now like to think of them as dear friends), working alongside super talented suppliers, being involved with SNAP photography festival for the third time, teaching wedding styling to fellow planners on behalf of the UKAWP, joining my dear friend Erica (Mr & Mrs Unique) to work together on a PR venture and flexing creative fashion styling muscle with the fantastic Rock n Roll Bride editorial team. The Bijou Bride, I am so damn lucky. Personally this year has had its challenges, living through 7 months of house building and renovations and still being far from finished. But I know it will all be worth it in the end!
I’m so excited about what 2018 has to offer. Weddings at Babington House, Villa Cimbrone in Ravello Italy, Aynhoe Park, the vineyards of Saint Émilion in France, Coworth Park and Dalston Heights plus more marketing projects, fashion styling and teaching. I can’t wait. But first some much needed r and r and quality time with my boys and patient family.
Couldn’t resist a few highlights to celebrate the end of another wonderful year.
H+R’s Wedding – St John of Jerusalem Church & JJ Studios Perseverance Works London
You’ll be able to catch this beautiful London wedding in the next issue of You & Your Wedding so I won’t say too much. Marble and gold details were crossed with woods and foliage for a new take on minimalist rustic.

P+J – A Bijou wedding in Provence
My first destination wedding and what an absolute pleasure to work in this stunning landscape. Nature was the inspiration, olive sprigs from the surroundings that I handpicked with the most delicate blush pink details.

S+A – RSA, London
It’s always fantastic when a bride has such a clear wish with colours. Sarah wanted blue and white in ode to her husband to be’s Dutch heritage. You’ll notice little tulip blooms and illustrations too.

T+K – St Pauls Cathedral & a Berkshire Private Residence
These two were just a pure joy to work with and I had the pleasure of getting to know them over the course of a year and a half. Admittedly the day was a logistical challenge, London to Berkshire, but it couldn’t have been any other way when you have a very special opportunity to wed at St Paul’s and a fantastic family home to host the reception.

K+A – Hackney Town Hall
Bride Kathrin didn’t want fuss which meant no bridesmaids, no lengthy speeches, no getting ready in different locations and for the styling to be minimal but very well considered. And this minimalist look, I for one love it. You’ll be able to see more on Coco Weddings very soon.

What a riot these two were. We planned this immaculate day in just five months and the whole shebang was non stop fun. You’ll be able to see it in full soon on Ruffled.

And I couldn’t resist finishing with a little snapshot of the fun I’ve had this year with the Rock n Roll Bride team. Just wait until to you see what we have lined up for year ahead!
